Help & answers

Frequently asked questions

A few common questions about coloring.photos and how to use the pages. If yours isn’t here, just ask through the contact page and I’ll help.

The pages

Are the coloring pages really free?

Yes, completely. Every page on coloring.photos is free to download and print, with no hidden cost. A few ads keep the site running so the pages can stay free for you.

Do I need to sign up or create an account?

No. There's no account and no sign-up. Find a page you like, print it, and you're done. The only optional extra is the newsletter, if you'd like a heads-up when new pages go up.

Can I use these in my classroom or daycare?

Yes, and I'd love that. You're welcome to print and use the pages with the children in your care at no charge, whether that's a school, a daycare, or a library. The full details are on the licensing page.

Can I use the pages for commercial purposes?

Personal and classroom use is free, but selling the pages or putting them in products for sale isn't allowed. If you'd like to license my original artwork, including MoMo, for commercial use, get in touch. The full terms are on the licensing page.

Who makes the coloring pages?

I do. I'm Martin, the dad of three behind coloring.photos, and I draw the pages myself. You can read the story on the About page, and get to know our mascot on the Meet MoMo page.

Printing

How do I print the coloring pages?

Download the page, then print it from your computer or your phone. For the cleanest result, print from the downloaded file rather than straight from your browser. There's a full walkthrough in my printing guide.

What size do the pages print at?

Every page is made to print cleanly on both A4 and US Letter, so it works wherever you are. Just set the paper size in your print dialog to match the paper in your tray.

Why is my page printing too small or getting cut off?

That's almost always the scaling setting. Set it to “Fit to printable area” and turn the margins down to None, and the page will fill the sheet. There's a short troubleshooting list in the printing guide.

Choosing a page

How do the difficulty levels work?

Every page is rated from 1 to 5 by how tricky it is to color, from big chunky shapes all the way up to fine detail. It takes the guesswork out of picking a page that fits. The full breakdown is on the difficulty levels page.

How do I pick the right page for my child's age?

As a quick guide, match their age to a level: ages 2 to 4 is level 1, 4 to 6 is level 2, 6 to 9 is level 3, 9 to 12 is level 4, and 12 and up is level 5. When in doubt, go a little easier, since a page that's slightly too simple still builds confidence.

Requests and problems

How often do you add new pages?

There's no fixed schedule. I add new pages when a fresh theme grabs me or when I have the time, so it varies. If you'd like to know when new ones go up, you can join the newsletter.

Can I request a theme or character?

Yes, I'm always glad to hear ideas. Send your request through the contact page and I'll add it to my list. I can't promise every one, but I do read them all.

I found a wrong title or a broken page. What should I do?

Thanks for flagging it, that genuinely helps me. Email me through the contact page with the link to the page and I'll get it fixed.

I'm a rights holder and want a page removed.

No problem, and I handle these quickly. Please follow the steps on the copyright and takedown page and I'll take care of it.
