This Water-type Pokemon sits with its distinctive shell clamped shut, revealing its round bulbous body and two large curious eyes staring straight ahead. Small details like the pearl-like protrusions on its body and stubby appendages give Shellder plenty of defined zones to color. The simple centered pose makes this a satisfying introduction to Generation 1 Pokemon.
Coloring tip

Use blues and purples for Shellder's shell to make it look smooth and shiny, then color the body inside a contrasting pink or beige so it stands out from the shell.
