This coiled serpent Pokemon strikes an alert pose with its mouth wide open and its signature spiky tail raised high. Ekans shows off its curved body in a relaxed coil, complete with the distinctive bulges along its purple-scaled form. A perfect opportunity to add depth with shading on the serpentine curves.

Coloring tip

Use purple for Ekans's body scales and add darker purple or black shading along the inner curves to make the coils look three-dimensional. Leave the belly area a lighter cream or pale yellow for contrast.
